The data shows that if you are looking to sell homes, aerial views are a must-do:
“According to MLS statistics, homes with aerial images sold 68 percent faster than homes with standard images. Video tours that incorporate drone footage are also a great way to make your property stand out and to attract new listings. According to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), 73 percent of homeowners say that they are more likely to list with a real estate agent who uses video to market their home; however, only 9 percent of agents create listing videos.”
Make More Money
“...If we go off of the statistic that homes sell 68 percent faster when using aerial imagery and that 73 percent of homeowners prefer to list with an agent who uses video, we can be conservative and say that you could attract 50 percent more listings and close 50 percent more deals—pushing the 11 transactions to approximately 17, which would result in an annual income of $89,250 in our scenario, an increase of $31,500.”

You said there are dangers in flying my own drone? Why should I hire you?
Starting with property liability, you very likely do not have enough insurance to cover yourself if there were a problem or property damage. Standard, we carry $1M in liability insurance, and we can amp that up to $15M or more for special projects where the client requires a higher rate. Also, there is a long learning curve to knowing how to fly drones well, which is why the FAA created a special license for it. Youtube videos offer many drone crashes - - so, yeah, the prices for drones are going down, but if you do not know what you are doing, say goodbye to that drone and that money. The final reason is QUALITY: our 20+ years of experience in digital graphics is something that the average home droner can not match.
Are drones legal? I am concerned about my neighbors
Yes, flying drones is legal. FAA Part 107 regulates the licensing of drone pilots. Most issues with neighbor complaints have to do with not preparing neighbors for the drone work. We have flyers to help communicate out our planned activity in a way that notifies neighbors professionally.
So how much, buddy?
Cheaper than it used to be, and generally quite affordable as a percent of your total project costs. Our minimum project charge is $250 within a 25 mile range of Chico, CA (excluding any RE broker discounts).
How soon can you be here? I need it this week
We typically can have a conversation within 24-48 hours and maybe in a pinch we could get something done within a couple days, but typically we are booked out a week or so. We also need time to scope the project with you and prepare a contract, so please plan ahead.
Are your pics MLS ready?
For MLS, we supply 2 or 3 files, for web and for printing that will comply with the MLS you are using (we may ask you to confirm the requirements, as they can differ from MLS to MLS).
Can I get high definition images?
Yes for a service fee, we deliver high definition images. Our video standard is 720 dpi, and 4K will typically cost 30% more than standard.
Who owns the images?
As we are a work for hire independent contractors, the original is ours, but we can work with you on a usage agreement that works for you. Typically, the license is per project with a reduced rate for additional usage needs.
